I got this power cord for the AC adapter for my Sony laptop. It is the half square half circle plug. I needed a new one after my dog chewed up my last one. I was going to take it from my PS2, but that is square-square not square-circle.

It works perfectly and is what you are expecting. The only thing this is different is that it is longer than my original Sony, so I was delightfully surprised.

5 Stars Needed my Sony power adapter ASAP!!
My power adapter went out and I needed a replacement power adapter ASAP. I paid for the “Next Day” delivery and it was delivered as promised. I looked at other generic power adapters; however, I wanted to stay with the manufacturer of my laptop PC. Thanks Amazon!

The charger got here on time, 3-4 days i believe and it worked perfectly amazingly well. i’d recommend it to anyone who needed a replacement or spare charger.

5 Stars GENUINE ARTICLE
I just purchased this second power cord set for my Sony VAIO VGN-SZ480. I like to rig my computer desk so that all the cables are neatly tied underneath the desk (using mug hooks with tabs and plenty of zip ties). The only problem is that you don’t want to undo the cable when you want to use the computer elsewhere or travel with it. This is a genuine SONY article that is identical to the one that came with the computer and is over US$20 cheaper than what SONY wants for it on its own web site.

This docking station is great to disconnect the laptop in a second.

With some release tabs would be a better product.
